We have some visitors here with us this week from all different parts of America. They are here on a short term outreach. Lots of times the impact that short term teams have is mainly onn the short term-er them self. You get me?? They are usually more impacted than the the community they are in. In any sense thats how I received my call to G-town I first came here on a short term trip in 2002. So in most cases they have a tremendous impact on people's lives. I have been praying the Lord will use their time here to draw them closer to Him and confirm the callings in their lives if He has that for them. They have a few more days so I would like you to pray along side me for them. Thanks!!!
They have in any case accomplished lots of thing in their time here. We have a friend here named R she is a good friend a Muslim lady who runs two schools a preschool and a primary school. One of her big needs was desks she had a class of 5th graders that had to sit on mats on the floor so after talking to the team leadership we decided we could build some desks for them for this outreach. We built 32 desks that seat 2 students per one so we provided 64 seats for the school but that was only half the need!!! We bought 1000 feet of raw 8x1 timber and split it and planed it all ourselves. God is so good to us some friends in the community here let us borrow their generator for free because they wanted to be a part of what we were doing. The place we were working was without electricity so thanks to the generator we were able to use the power tools. Which of course enabled us to do the job efficiently! We finished the desks for her in 2 days while running a mobile medical clinic at the preschool and seeing close to 300 patients!
Amazing God is so good and He has so much favor on us. Tomorrow we will construct 13 more desks for a local preschool also in need. Our prayer is that we can show the love of Christ through the way we live our lives. We want to preach Christ with our lives!!!!!!!

wow. thats all i can say. well, wow and Praise God! The desks look beautiful. What an impact that must have on this teacher and this school. If your lives aren't preaching Christ, I don't know what is. And to have all you need to be able to do this in two days. WOW.
