Give, Serve, Love.

There are some days I am busy with home life. In the mornings I am homeschooling Righteous. Changing Diapers, making meals, cleaning up after those meals, etc. Then there are times we have the opportunity to serve the community. Whenever this happens I always try to explain to my kids before and after that giving to people is the reason we are here in Kenya. Some times we will give food and clothing while that is not the only things we have to offer. We give our time to be with them and we can give them love. Recently we got to be help out handing out relief food that was donated by some private donors. Before this Nevaeh and I went around greeting all the women and children. In the picture right above- if you could zoom in- Nevaeh is being bear hugged by an older woman, who had also had given her a big kiss on the cheek. Righteous is shy. She mostly stayed hidden behind my skirt. I try to encourage her to be friendly without forcing it on her. Both Righteous and Nevaeh helped me give out Maize Flour packages for nearly two hours. Never once did they complain or say they wanted to stop. I was very proud of them.
"If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs." Deuteronomy 15:7-8
"Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land." Deuteronomy 15: 10-11

Wow! That's really neat that you were able give out unga like that. I am excited to see the women of God that your daughters become. Keep loving them and pouring into them like you are! Your family is so special, and I love you all very much.
