The Road Home

This is my "new" vehicle, a 1999 Land Cruiser Deisel engine. It is a smaller engine so I am told, so cannot go super fast. Our trip to home to an hour longer than usual because of the engine but the kids did well, enjoying the variety of Kenyan food that the side of the road has to offer.
Getting use to driving on the left side of the road again. Noticing that the closer we got home, every bus had a mosque picture on it.
We picked up some sugar cane that is already chopped up and ready to eat. You can buy a bag for around 15cents. Only Daddy and mommy ate it in the truck, because we wanted the kiddos to wait til we got home where they could be sure to spit out the pieces onto the ground and then brush their teeth right after.

"The African Tree" aka the black plastic bag is found as you look out the window.
This is a man who sells eggs all day long. We actually find them very tasty.
Along with the eggs comes yummy kachumbari (tomatoes, onions, and small pieces of chili pepper) and a small bag of salt.
We pass by many small towns that are painted with different advertisements. People are out and about working and socializing.
This brand Tropical Heat is has a wide range of spices that we get to season our food. This was a first time trying these peas and it was a winner. Thank you for taking a glimpse of our road trip home. More to come about us settling back in.
