Fixing the tractor

The four girlies ready to take on the day!
Any time Jason get's ready to leave the house, the three older girls all put in their desperate requests to leave with him. Most of the time he will be gone for a long time and cannot take them. Righteous and Nevaeh are also learning in home school everyday, which we have to be committed to. Every other week we to get a chance to go with Jason out into the bush. It is beneficial in so many ways. I know it is good for the men Jason is working with to see that me and the kiddos support him and love him very much. Righteous does not leave her daddies side when he is working. It is also good for my daughters to learn and have their daddy empower them by letting them "help".
Assessing the trailer.
Today Ramadan has ended, but during the month of it- it is always unique on how the people decide to work or not. In the beginning of Ramadan the people are often very tired during the day because they are fasting, not even drinking any water. Not only fasting during the day makes tired but they are awake late into the night praying and eating. So at first they do not want to work full days, or at all. Then a week into it everyone wants to work again to make money. People eat more than usual during Ramadan once the sun goes down. They will often eat meat which is usually delicacy they cannot afford. What we always want to portray is a respect for the people in whatever they choose. Sometimes there just aren't enough jobs for everyone that wants to work. Then there are some that are harder workers and more qualified than others who are more lazy and are better at talking a lot. Wisdom is needed to be fair but also have the job done efficiently.
All of us waiting for the mechanics to get back.
On this particular day, the trailer for the tractor's wheel fell off. The threads that hold the wheel  bearing lock nut and lock washer were completely stripped. I cannot explain the twisty, dusty "road" we took to get out there. There is know way we could tell someone how to get there to fix it. You can get lost so easily because everywhere looks the same and with all the bushes you can not see ahead or behind you. Jason brought his concrete saw with a grinder blade to cut the axle off because the axle was welded to the trailer so that it could be brought to town to be rethread. Then a welder had to be hired along with a generator, and they had to be brought back to the trailer to weld the joint back on.
Jason cutting the axle it was 3/4 of an inch thick
When we first got to the trailer we found out that the 3 mechanics had begun chasing a wild rabbit and then gotten lost. We started up the chainsaw and then honked the horn of the car so that they could hear it and find their way back. In the end Jason went and found them. They must have gotten really far because it took them a little while to come. When we saw them they were laughing so hard. We joked that these mechanics were true "city boys" and didn't know their way around the bush.
The mechanics running away from the sparks.

Little Samara looks like a dolly! At least Righteous is not holding her around the neck like Gabriel sometimes does! :) I love you all and miss you! Can't wait to see you soon!
