The Wittz End: The Farm

We are leaving to go to the States in 15 days! Jason and I both have different things we have to have done in order to be ready to go. My responsibilities are in the areas of packing, gift buying, and trucking hard through home school to try and get ahead as much as we can. Jason has to make decisions within our household as well as the farm. He has a desire to set Harrison up in the best possible way for him to succeed and thrive in our absence. Hopefully the training will begin on the farm within the next few months Jason is making that final push to get things ready to move forward. The water pump recently broke at the farm. A few different hands tried to fix it but it ended up being Jason who finally did. In a few weeks Jason will not be around to fix things so he had to purchase another pump as a back up. Water is the necessity to keep the farm growing without water all the plants, that have been growing from many months now, will die within just a few days.

The children and I wanted to get out there one more time before we leave. It was nice to take a break from school. We went on a day that there is a clinic. The Bethany students use to help run the clinic but it has now been passed down to a Kenyan married couple who has a heart to love the people. We work alongside this married couple and they are truly some of our best-friends We brought some chocolate cookie sticks to pass out to the children that came to the clinic. It was refreshing to notice that the children were not of afraid of us. When we would first come they were usually very shy, and would hide behind their mom. They had seen white people from different short term mission teams that come but probably had never seen white children. There was one little girl that ran up to my kiddos and didn't want to leave after they were through seeing the doctor. Righteous or Nevaeh took most of the pictures while we were there. They would make sure to always show the people the picture after they had taken it. They have become quite professional. We are so looking forward to see our families and loved ones in America but we will miss this place. It has become home.
