Where in the World have the Witts been?

Jason preaching at Living Hope Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Photo Credit: Shelley Waldrop

We have not touched down in the States for a month yet but we still have gone lots of places and already seen lots of people. Our first stop was at the Freemans house in Minnesota. They not only provide a home base for us when we are in the area they also graciously give us their Suburban which allows enough space to carry Nevaeh's luggage as she prepares to moves into college but also all our bags as we travel around for Furlough.

Just a few days after landing we drove to Wisconsin to be with Righteous! We met her classmates, including a young man named Everet that she has started dating. We were able to help Righteous put things in storage and clean up her room to pass the room inspection. Righteous gave me her passport to hold onto for her. I can't explain how happy I was to add her passport to the others in my purse for safe keeping.

Next Stop was Green Bay, Wisconsin. Living Hope Church embraced us so kindly and put us up in an Air BnB over the weekend. All 6 of us Witts shared in church on Sunday and Jason preached. We had a delicious dinner at the Waldrops house and got to meet some lovely people. The church is getting ready to send a family to the mission field and it is an exciting time.

We said our goodbyes to the Midwest and made our way to stay with my Dad and stepmom, Mary,  in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We always like to go with them to Parnassus Book store which is featured in the movie "The Storied Life of AJ Fikry" found on Netflix. Mary took some updated family photos for us and we had a nice time with them all around.
Memorial Day weekend was spent with my sister and her family. Even though is was rainy and cold we finished a puzzle,  played games and went shopping at the Outlets where there is no tax on clothes or shoes.

We just finished a week on Long Island, New York staying with my Uncle Vinnie and Aunt Diane. Our lovely teamates Paul and Ashley Kary joined us for a few days. We were able to go into NYC with them for Charis 16th birthday. We saw Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway and the 4 Witt girls managed to have front row seats. All my siblings came to NY and were able to celebrate at Nevaeh's graduation party along with many from my beloved extended family. It always hits me that my Mom isn't there. I miss her. There are 5 grandchildren that have never gotten to meet her nor her them. We rejoice that there are 2 more children on the way! Psalm 127:3-5 says,
"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them".

Now it's off to Virginia or bust.
Stay tuned to hear about our upcoming adventures.
Righteous and Everet are playing a matching game at the Waldrops house.

Our stomachs are satisfied from Brisket, cheesy grits, smoked queso dip, and pork belly.

Out to eat with my Dad and stepmom, Mary in Cape Cod.

This is a more accurate family photo rather than a posed one.

playing Azule with my sister, Bethany and her husband Peter.

Bethany and me.
On the Long Island Railroad heading into New York City.

Can't believe it has been 16 years since Charis was born in the bathtub in Kenya.

Went to this Broadway play and afterwards the girls got autographs from some of the actors.

Got to take Paul and Ashley Kary to Central Park, Staten Island, Rockefeller Center, and other sites in NYC.

Me and my siblings.

Siblings and their families.
