His Unseen Hands

WOW!!!!!! So much has gone on since our last blog I don't even know where to begin. Things are moving in a positive direction towards Kenya and we are begining to see God's hand at work so often. Our support level is starting to raise slowly but surely we are at around 35% which doesn't sound great but it is an improvement. We are starting to see why we weren't able to achieve our original goal of late December early January. Which brings me to my next topic.
For those of you who keep up with international news you already understand what is happening in Kenya right now. For those of you who do not I will catch you up. Last month was the presidential election in Kenya and they still tally votes by hand the race was close and the cadidates began to accuse each others parties of cheating, by parties what I really mean is tribes they are over 60 different tribes in Kenya and there is deep rooted tribalism amoung all of them(racism between tribes). So mob justice took place and hate crimes roamed free. Over 400 have been killed and 1000's injured. The country came to a halt friends attacked friends it was chaos. I have heard the situation is very fluid it changes from day to day, but there have been 4 days of peace and some amazing things have taken place. The winner of the election was a man by the name Kibaki and he just appointed his cabinet yesterday and his vice president whom we happen to know. So we are in the circle friends with the Vice President of Kenya Musiyoka. Now that is amazing. He was actually one of the candidates I believe he finished third in the over all poles. But he is Christian man who loves God and loves his nation so that is an amazing thing.
So the point I'm making is had we been able to achieve "OUR" target date we would have arrived in the midst of unstability in every aspect of the word. Sometimes it just takes time for us to see His Hands, His Protection, His Guidance. So we are continuing to press on toward the goal of getting back to Kenya but we know He is in control and there are very good reasons for that. We surrender ourselves, our lives, adn our wills to Him daily it's not easy by any means but we understand that no matter what we do it's all for Him and in America or Africa we will still praise Him whether it be now or later we will still Praise Him!!!!
