Flooding in Kenya

In our town in Kenya it is usually a really dry area which makes it bearable to live with the dry heat even when the heat index is over 100 degrees. I prefer dry heat over humidity anyday. Kenya doesn't have the four seasons that we get in the US but they do get the "rainy season". There is horrible damage that can come during this time especially if it causes the Tana river to come up into the land and the Tana has crocodiles that make their home in it. With floods crops die and there can be unsanitary conditions with the water carrying garbage, which leads to sickness. On Wednesday the town got just a few inches of rain and it flooded the school that Jason work at and we are planning to again when we move there. Thankfully there wasn't that much damage as there could be.

Meanwhile today we had great fun from water on a slip and slide that was only 5$ at walmart what a deal! It is so intersting that water is such a blessing and can be full of entertainment but can be a curse as well.
