Zakayo is a co-worker of ours from Life Ministry. He works in the Jesus film department where he will show the movie on a projector on a big screen in whatever language of the people in the different villages he travels to. Jason has known him since his internship so that is now for 7 years. Zakayo asked Jas to drive him and all the groomsman to the church for his wedding. This means are truck got decorated so beautifully with lots of ribbon at 7am that morning. This also includes driving around in a mini parade with the rest of the bridal party all around town to let everyone know about the special day. Weddings as well as Sunday services are extremely long for my western mindset- often 3-4 hours. During the program Righteous went up front on the pulpit several times and Nevaeh walking up and down the middle aisle constantly pointing to her belly button. Righteous also is very interested in belly buttons. We recently had some missionaries from Asia staying with us and she would ask them if they had belly buttons while we were eating dinner at the table. (Please notice the blinking red light on the top of the bride's veil) All in all we are very happy for Zakayo!
These other pictures are from a village we will be at for Christmas day. Jason made them benches with Harrison for their clinic in their village that is just made from out of sticks. The people were very grateful to have them because everyone was just sitting on the dirt floor. We will be making a meal for the village of 85 families and also hope to provide some dry foods for each family. This village has 25 adults HIV positive and several children. Please pray that we will be able to share the whole purpose for why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. We want to be build relationships so means to be cautious and wise from the Holy Spirit but also intentional. There is such a fine line between the two and not possible to do on our own.
