MA then PA then DE now VA

We have left New York and begun traveling around. Our first stop was Massachusetts  We were able to spend time with my sister and her family- meeting my niece Zoe for the first time, as well as have many meals with my Dad and step mom Mary, as well as see my cousin Christine and meet her daughter Isabella, and see my other cousin Nicholas and his wife Christanne as newlyweds. There is such joy in seeing babies being born and weddings taking place,  and just getting to spend quality time with our loved ones. We felt the same way with the last time we returned to the States. We have missed much of peoples lives when we have been in Kenya because time does not pause and stay exactly as we remember. When we are reconnecting with our families we just want to play catch up on what has been happening. What have been their struggles? How have their jobs been? What do they think about the economy right now and where do they think it is heading too? What are their dreams and are they able to do things to work towards them? We have really been enjoying just spending time with people. We do not have to go anywhere or be doing anything. Just being together is fulfilling to us. 

We are back to living out of suitcases. We always start off with each child's clothes neatly folded in separate piles in the luggage but give it 2 days everything is mixed together after having to find outfits in the morning and pajamas at nights. We have been able to do home school for about a week and a half. We feel bad that it has been on hold for a little bit as we have been in the car traveling. On a positive note we got to go to two different museums- one being a Science museum! This went so well and provided Righteous with some hands on activities that have corresponded with subjects we have learned this past year. Thank you America. We are soaking up this time. Really appreciating it. I got to go out shopping with my sister twice and it felt so good to be able to be out, because in Kenya we have a curfew of 6pm for safety. We are breathing the fresh air deeply, because there were days in Kenya that smoke was filling up our house due to burning garbage or leaves. When we have been driving from State to State the roads are smooth and paved. I am grabbing a glass and getting water directly from the faucet to drink. In another month this all my fade away and not be as exciting but I hope not. There is so much to give thanks about and be grateful for.
