We were in the capital city, Nairobi for a few days while Jason and interns had to register their visas. My daughters and decided to explore the Bomas of Kenya one day. The Bomas is the location where all the votes from both Presidential elections were counted thus determining Uhuru Kenyatta the President ×2. It is also a cultural center that shows dances from the different tribes and has lots of villages you can walk around to learn how people live.

| Of course we were drawn to the Somali houses in the North Eastern area since that is the majority of people living here in gtown. |
| In front of a Somali house. These houses are able to be taken apart and carried on the backs of camels. |
| Nevaeh is laying down on a bed made out of sticks, that is inside one of the houses. |
| Most villages had a 1st wife house, 2nd house wife, and third wife house. The first wife house was always the biggest. |
| Oh what fun it is to explore. |
| This is the same background we would see when we were watching the news for hours at a time waiting for the outcome of both elections. |
| Dances. |

| Back in Gtown there are still many people living in IDP camps. (Internally Displaced Persons). Although it has been weeks now since the river overflowed from the dams, the ground is still muddy and homes that were destroyed need to be rebuilt. The United Nations recently passed out Toms shoes to those that were effected. Our friends, Amos and Grace, set up their school under a tarp for the villagers living in one of the camps. We loved the opportunity to hand out cookies to the students. |

| Muslims celebrated Eid a little over a week ago. Many of the women and young girls had henna decorated on their hands, arms, feet to celebrate the occasion. It has been awhile since we have gotten henna done ourselves so we decided to ask one of our friend in town, to do it for us. It allows us to build relationships and feel beautiful. |

| Although Charis does smile, this is often the look on her face, serious. |
| My girls ask me if they can give their baby dolls baths. I always feel wasteful to fill up a whole bathtub of water, when it is a precious commodity here. So a few inches in buckets make me feel better about it. They can splash all they want because it is done outside in the laundry room. |
| We got aprons made for Samara's Chopped themed birthday party. I am glad they are still getting good use out of them. |

It's interesting to hear that they passed out Tom's shoes Wow three wives! Praying they can move back into their own dwellings soon.
The life you are exposing your children to is beautiful beyond description. And they seem to blossom & flourish in it. In your last post, you write about Righteous taking the Word to share it, & then coming away desiring to know more. In my heart, this is the epitome of what believers dream of for our children. I pray regularly that God will block for your family, guard you, & shield you, so you are free to live for Him. XO
