| Setting up the blood pressure table to bring relief for the flood victims in March. |
The Ch have had such a difficult time getting long term visas here in Kenya. We applied the American interns the exact same way, all the interns received visas. But so far only 1 Ch family received a visa, the rest have been denied or we are still waiting to here back the decision. We do bring the questions before God, "Why Lord? Why is this process so challenging. Why is it unfair? What needs to be done? What is Your plan in all of this?" So because the temporary tourist visa that 7 of them are on is about to expire, yesterday the 7 left gtown and will be heading back to China tomorrow. They had a party to gather people in our town to sing and dance and pray. They also said that they are not giving up their houses they have here or packing up the possession because they believe and trust God that they will return in a month.
I want to make a request for you to intercede on their behalf. That the Kenya government will soften their hearts and stop rejecting their visa. Unfortunately there is a negative stereotype that is placed on people from this country, which is that they are here to take jobs from Kenyans. I cannot negate that for every person that is here but I can honestly say that these ones are not about worldly concepts but about God's kingdom being advanced. They are hear to serve the poor and needy and to speak truth into lives that have no hope. They are dedicated to learn this foreign language and live simply. They fast and pray weekly and love Jesus and accept the hard times as well as the good. Our lives have been enriched since they moved here. We never ever even dreamed to bring working alongside believers from Ch in East Africa but this is the Lord's work, far beyond what I can imagine.
Please pray for safe travels for this next month for those heading back to see their relatives and loved ones. That they would not only treasure their time but still seek after God's heart. Please pray for the locked doors to be open and a miracle to take place. We wait upon Him who is able. We trust Him and follow Him.
